NEPA Philharmonic in parternship with the Osterhout Free Library presents the Crescendo Family Concert, an outreach effort geared towards getting children exposed to the arts, specifically quality orchestral music, at a young age. The Crescendo Family Concert is an annual three-part event with the theme this year, "Tune Into Heritage". The event consists of an interactive web page, a dozen or so interactive partner stations pertaining to several aspects of our local heritage, and then finally the concert itself. All of these activities were created with the idea of getting children exposed to orchestral music as well as some of our local heritage and cultures.
The Crescendo Family Concert, along with the Tune into Heritage event, will take place at the Scranton Cultural Center Sunday, October 14, 2007. Tune Into Heritage starts at 1 P.M. and the Crescendo Family Concert starts at 2 P.M. Tickets are on sale now! $7.00 for single tickets and $25.00 for a family four pack that includes two adult and two student tickets.
