Digital Television Transition

Did you know that at midnight on February 17, 2009, all U.S. TV broadcasts will be in digital format? This means that if you receive TV signals via an antenna, you won't be able to watch TV unless you switch to digital TV or get a TV converter.

The federal government has launched the TV Converter Box Coupon Program, to help the families in need. Through this program, you can request for up to two coupons, worth $40 each, for buying a TV converter box. TV converter boxes cost between $50 to $70 and these coupons can be used to pay part of the converter box cost. You will have to pay remaining balance, which may range from $10 to $30.

For more information go to: https://www.dtv2009.gov/
To apply for the coupons go to: https://www.dtv2009.gov/ApplyCoupon.aspx
